Amateur archaeologist unearths Germany's largest Hadrian-era Roman coin hoard

Amateur archaeologist Oliver Riedl found 934 Roman silver denarii near Wesseling, south of Cologne, a year ago and reported the discovery to authorities. Experts say it is Germany's largest coin hoard from Emperor Hadrian's era, likely buried in the second quarter of the 2nd century AD. The coins went on display Tuesday at the LVR-LandesMuseum Bonn.
