MSF warns DR Congo's largest-ever Ebola outbreak is spreading, not shrinking

Doctors Without Borders warned on Friday that the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo is far from contained, despite signs of slowing transmission cited this week by the DRC government and the WHO. First declared in mid-May, it is the largest outbreak in DRC's history and the fastest-spreading on record. MSF, with around 1,700 staff in the country, said cases are declining in the initial epicentre of Ituri but not nationally, and that South Ubangi has become the seventh affected province.
