Trump rejects Iran's conditional Strait of Hormuz proposal, WSJ reports

The Wall Street Journal reported Saturday, citing unnamed U.S. officials, that President Donald Trump rejected Iran's conditional plan to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and told aides he expects to resume bombing Iran after November's midterm elections. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said the strait could reopen and nuclear talks with the U.S. restart within seven days if Washington halts aggression, ends the naval blockade and economic pressure, and releases Iranian assets; Yemen's Saudi-led coalition said it intercepted projectiles fired by Iran-backed Houthis.
