Pope Leo XIV begins a four-day pilgrimage to France, the first official papal visit in 18 years

Pope Leo XIV arrived in Paris on Friday for a four-day visit, greeted by President Emmanuel Macron, the first official papal trip to secular France in 18 years. He will meet Macron at the Elysee, speak at UNESCO, lead services at Notre Dame and for 80,000 at Stade de France, celebrate Mass for 600,000 at Place de la Concorde, visit Lourdes, and speak in Metz on European unity.
