New York Fed's Williams sees another rate hike by year-end as reasonable

At the London Macro Policy Forum, New York Fed President John Williams said it is reasonable to expect another Federal Reserve rate hike by year-end. He said explicit forward guidance is over, echoing Chair Kevin Warsh. The Fed raised its benchmark rate by a quarter point this month to 3.75%-4%; CME FedWatch put October hike odds at 77.5% on Thursday, up from 53% on Wednesday, with inflation above 3%.
