Iran says it has learned the US may be planning a new round of strikes and warns of retaliation "without limitations", as Qatar mediates talks between the two sides. The UK Maritime Trade Operations agency says independent tracking shows single-digit numbers of vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz in both directions, far below the US military's reported average of more than 30 a day, with the threat level "severe"; at least three attacks were reported in 72 hours, including one on September 18 that caused a fire on a tanker. Meanwhile, Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree says the Saudi Air Force carried out 28 air attacks across Yemen in 24 hours, hitting Taiz and al-Jawf provinces.
