RNLI warns supporters their personal data may have been hacked

The RNLI told supporters in its autumn Lifeboat magazine that names, contact details and records of interactions with the charity may have been breached after Beacon CRM advised assuming data was taken in a late July cyber-attack affecting about 1,500 charities. No misuse has been confirmed. The warning comes amid far-right campaigns against migrant boat rescues, including a temporary closure of a Portsmouth lifeboat station after activists tried blocking a 6 September landing involving 120 asylum seekers.
