Putin relayed Iran's proposal for ending the war to Trump, Kremlin says
Russian President Vladimir Putin conveyed Tehran's vision for ending the war in Iran — which began on Feb. 28 with U.S. and Israeli airstrikes — to U.S. President Donald Trump, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, adding the message was sent in agreement with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian. Putin reportedly spoke with Trump by phone after meeting Pezeshkian at a summit in Turkmenistan. The revelation follows Trump's announcement that Russia will supply over 4 million tons of diesel to global markets amid the energy price surge: more than 300,000 tons immediately, 500,000 tons in November, 1 million tons thereafter, and another 3 million tons depending on Russian refinery conditions. The White House has not confirmed the reported conversation.
