Venezuelan DoorDash driver shot by ICE agent during Austin enforcement surge

ICE shot Wilber Rafael Garcés Pérez, 28, a Venezuelan national, once in the back between his shoulder blades in north Austin on Sunday shortly before 1pm while he was delivering a DoorDash order. Video shows an officer fired three times at his car; Garcés Pérez, who had lived in the US for two years but was under a removal order, told bystanders he was shot for not stopping and was hospitalized after Austin police gave first aid.
