Nepal's prime minister tells UN climate floods are a global warning

Four weeks after catastrophic flash floods hit Nepal, Prime Minister Balendra Shah told the UN General Assembly the Nepal-Tibet floods were a warning to the world and asked whether leaders had heard it. He proposed a Himalayan Climate Resilience Mechanism led by Nepal, India and China to share satellite data, monitor glacial lakes, and coordinate cross-border disaster response.
