Ten Nepali climbers missing after avalanche near Himlung Himal camp

At least ten Nepali climbers are missing after an avalanche hit a staging point near Himlung Himal in Manang district on Sunday morning. Himalaya Holidays Trekking’s Bibhuti Chand Thakur said eight from his team and two from another company were unaccounted for; they had gone ahead to prepare camp and fix ropes for foreign clients. Heavy snow on the 7,126-metre peak and poor weather are blocking helicopter rescues.
