Patients Who Switched to Novo's Wegovy Pill from Injections Continued to Lose Weight, Real-World Study Finds

A Novo Nordisk analysis of 194 patients on Ro's telehealth platform found that those who switched from weekly obesity injections (Wegovy or Eli Lilly's Zepbound) to the oral Wegovy pill lost an additional 4% of body weight — about 8.8 pounds — over three months, starting from an average of 221 pounds. Two in five participants lost 5% or more, and the share with a BMI of 30 or above fell by more than 21%.
