Iran's president says US must choose whether to end the war

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian told Fox News the United States must decide whether to end the war in Iran, saying Tehran does not wish to keep fighting, after telling the UN General Assembly in New York that Iran would not "bend at the knee" to Washington. In New York, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Iran's Abbas Araqchi met and agreed only a diplomatic settlement could end the crisis sparked by the US-Israeli war. Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia's Grand Mufti Sheikh Saleh bin Fawzan Al-Fawzan called on soldiers at the kingdom's borders to be ready to lay down their lives fighting the Iran-backed Houthis until the group is ousted from power.
