Hundreds of drones hit Moscow on final day of Russia's parliamentary election vote

More than 1,600 drones were intercepted over Moscow and its region on the last day of Russia's tightly controlled three-day parliamentary election, Moscow mayor Sergei Sobyanin said, blaming Ukraine for trying to disrupt a vote set to strengthen Vladimir Putin's 26-year rule. At least two people — a 44-year-old woman and an elderly man — were killed, and a drone crashing into a 21-storey building forced 400 people to evacuate, said regional governor Andrey Vorobyov. A major oil refinery was also damaged, part of Kyiv's recent campaign against Russian energy infrastructure funding the war.
