Trump bars CNN, MS Now and Politico from the White House

The White House turned away CNN, MS Now and Politico on Monday after President Donald Trump threatened on Friday to ban the three outlets. Politico reports that many senior White House staff were surprised by the directive, which was issued while chief of staff Susie Wiles was out of town. The move escalates the administration's restrictions on the press: in 2025 it barred AP reporters from the White House and Air Force One, a case still in litigation, and Trump previously revoked CNN correspondent Jim Acosta's credentials in his first term, though CNN won them back in court.
