‘Godzilla’ of weight-loss drugs could provide other important health benefits

Retatrutide mimics GLP-1, GIP, and glucagon hormones to cut body weight by a quarter while improving blood sugar and inflammation, according to a global trial. Funded by Eli Lilly, the unapproved drug's findings were published in the Lancet and presented at the European Association for the Study of Diabetes annual meeting in Milan, Italy.
