Pakistan suicide bombing death toll rises to at least 31 in Kohat

At least 31 people, including 16 police personnel, were killed and more than 100 injured in a suicide bombing at a police headquarters in Kohat, in Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province near the Afghan border, police said. Militants stormed the district police complex on Friday afternoon and detonated an explosives-laden car, damaging a mosque where officers and relatives were praying. Gun battles continued with several militants still holed up inside. Ittehad-ul-Mujahideen Pakistan, a group linked to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, claimed responsibility.
