France says EU Made in Europe rules should exclude the UK

France is pushing to exclude the UK from the EU’s planned “Made in Europe” policy, with its industry minister arguing that countries outside the internal market should not get the same protections. Andy Burnham raised UK concerns with Ursula von der Leyen at the UN general assembly as debate grows over the Industrial Accelerator Act, which would favour EU27 products in public subsidies and contracts for low-carbon technologies and electric cars.
