CDC still excludes four Pennsylvania measles deaths as outbreak accelerates

The CDC updated its measles dashboard on Friday but still does not count four measles deaths in Pennsylvania, where doctors say the outbreak is accelerating and they are seeing unfamiliar measles cases, including congenital measles in newborns. Members of Congress on Monday requested an immediate briefing on changes to death reporting as U.S. cases reach decades-high levels; a possible exposure was reported last week in the neonatal ICU at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
