UNGA Day 4: Lebanon calls for peacekeepers to replace UNIFIL

On day four of the 81st UN General Assembly, Lebanon's prime minister told the UN that withdrawing peacekeeping troops risks creating a vacuum and called for peacekeepers to replace UNIFIL. Pakistan's Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif blamed India for last year's clashes and credited the US president with preventing all-out war between two nuclear powers; India used its right of reply to accuse Pakistan of terrorism.
