Bangkok flood threat eases as rain shifts while Hurricane Nolo approaches Hawaii

Bangkok was declared a disaster zone after continuous downpours submerged streets in waist-high water, including 213.5mm recorded near Prachin Buri over 24 hours. Although the low-pressure cell shifted Sunday, severe weather also threatened Hawaii's Big Island as Category 2 Hurricane Nolo brought 85 to 90 knot winds.
