White House confiscates press badges after Trump bans CNN, MS NOW and Politico

Reporters from CNN, MS NOW and Politico were denied entry to the White House on Saturday and had their press badges confiscated by officers, a day after President Donald Trump announced he was barring the three outlets for writing "fiction or lies" about his administration. MS NOW reporter Akayla Gardner and CNN reporter Betsy Klein were told their badges had been deactivated, and Politico reporter Cheyenne Haslett had her pass revoked. The outlets called the decision a violation of their constitutional free speech and press rights, and press freedom advocates said the move was unconstitutional.
