Planetary boundaries breached at record levels, scientists warn

An annual planetary health check by 60 scientists at the Potsdam Institute finds seven of nine boundaries—set in 2009—breached at record levels. Indicators in danger include climate change, biosphere integrity, land and freshwater change, biogeochemical flows, novel entities and ocean acidification. Only stratospheric ozone depletion and atmospheric aerosols improved in the past decade.
