NASA’s ASCENT Propulsion Dual Mode System for Advanced Spaceflight Aces Critical Tests

NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Alabama, announced that the ASCENT Propulsion Dual Mode system completed vacuum tests ahead of an October launch. The system combines chemical and electric propulsion using a single non-toxic fuel source, saving mass and volume for payloads and smaller rockets, as explained by project manager Nehemiah Williams.
