Yemen conflict displaces 71,000 children as acute malnutrition rises, UNICEF says

Fighting in Yemen has displaced 71,000 children among nearly 130,000 people in three weeks, mainly in Taiz, UNICEF country representative Akhil Iyer told reporters in Geneva. Mobile teams screened nearly 2,900 children; over a quarter were acutely malnourished, including 200 severe cases. UNICEF projects 2.2 million under-fives will be acutely malnourished this year, with more than half a million severe, as violence disrupts healthcare access.
