Global trade demonstrates resilience amid tariffs and geopolitical conflicts

Despite shocks from the pandemic, conflicts, and US tariffs, global trade remained resilient last year. According to a World Trade Organization report, goods trade volumes rose 4.6% driven by artificial intelligence demand, while services grew 5.3%. China remained the top goods exporter and the United States the largest importer.
