Ninth woman's body found as South Africa probes series of killings

South African police found a ninth murdered woman on the outskirts of Johannesburg on Thursday, after eight female corpses were discovered in the same area over the past two months, prompting a lockdown in Kempton Park. All victims were women in their 20s or 30s, found naked or partially clothed; the first five were found in or near Kempton Park and the rest up to 35km away. Gauteng police commissioner Fred Kekana said the similarities were "sufficiently concerning" to issue a public warning, though investigators are considering multiple suspects as well as a possible serial killer.
