At least 3 students killed in school shooting in the southern Philippines

At least three people were killed, including the suspected gunman, in a shooting at Banga National High School in South Cotabato province on Mindanao, Philippine police said on Friday. South Cotabato Governor Reynaldo Tamayo said the two slain students were a 14-year-old boy and a 14-year-old girl, while Banga town mayor Albert Palencia told Reuters eight people were injured, four critically. Emergency services were called at about 1:30 p.m. local time; police secured the area and the motive remains under investigation.
