Harry Kane signs new Bayern Munich contract through 2029
Harry Kane has signed a new contract with Bayern Munich that will keep him at the club through 2029, extending a highly successful spell since his €100m move from Tottenham in 2023. The England captain has scored 156 goals in 161 competitive appearances for Bayern, helping the club win two Bundesliga titles and a DFB Cup.
Kane, 33, was named the world’s best player last week after scoring 89 goals for club and country since the start of August 2025. His Ballon d’Or victory made him the first Englishman in 25 years to receive the award. He has also equalled England’s all-time men’s caps record and raised his international total to 91 goals in 125 appearances.
Kane said he feels at home in Munich and praised the club, its supporters, the city, his teammates and manager Vincent Kompany. He added that his family is very happy there and that he wants to win more trophies. Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund described Kane as a team player, leader and “the best all-round striker in the world”, saying his qualities continue to benefit the club on and off the pitch.
