Trump lashes out at the UN as courts, Republicans and polls erode his clout

Donald Trump told the UN on Tuesday he could annihilate Iran, but 20 months into his second term federal courts, dissenting Republicans and sinking approval—amid inflation, fuel prices and an unpopular Iran war—show waning influence. Entering the UN in New York he attacked CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins; CNN had been barred from the White House until a judge blocked the ban. Republican strategist Rick Wilson called it the beginning of a decline.
