Houthis claim missile strikes on Riyadh and Aramco facilities in Yanbu port

Yemen-based Houthi rebels said on Saturday they fired ballistic and cruise missiles at "sensitive sites" in Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh and at Aramco facilities in the Red Sea port of Yanbu, in retaliation for recent Saudi attacks on Sana'a. The statement came hours after a blaze at a fuel depot near King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh was extinguished; residents reported hearing explosions there overnight after Saudi authorities warned of a "hostile aerial threat" and urged people to stay indoors. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree described the operations as successful, while the Saudi government has not confirmed the blasts. The escalation follows Riyadh's accusation earlier this week that the Houthis targeted Mecca, which the Iran-backed group denied.
