Seven Ethiopian rebel groups form Alliance for Survival

Seven Ethiopian rebel groups, including Fano in Amhara, the Oromo Liberation Army, the Tigray People’s Liberation Front and four smaller groupings, formed the Alliance for Survival to remove Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed’s government in Addis Ababa, accusing it of war, genocide, mass destruction and poverty. The coalition spans six regions covering half of Ethiopia’s 12 states. Federal authorities have not yet responded.
