Paramount Skydance settles with 12 US states in $110bn Warner Bros merger case

Paramount Skydance reached a settlement with California and 11 other states that sued to block its $110bn Warner Bros Discovery merger, Reuters and Bloomberg reported Monday. The deal creates independent editorial boards for CNN and CBS after concerns that political pressure could sway coverage. Larry Ellison's company avoids a $7m daily fee if the merger closes by September 30. The Freedom of the Press Foundation called the boards a weak half-measure.
