Paris clan leader jailed eight years for trafficking child pickpockets

Roberto Hamidovic, 48, who ran a clan that sent child pickpockets, some as young as 10, to target tourists on the Paris Métro and at Disneyland Paris, has been jailed for human trafficking. Police said the mostly female network averaged €25,000 a day. He received the maximum eight-year term and a €500,000 fine; his wife Lejla got six years and a €300,000 fine.
