Nor'easter brings coastal flooding as New York and New Jersey declare emergencies

A powerful nor'easter peaking Saturday threatens tens of millions from Virginia to Maine with coastal flooding, heavy rain and strong winds, the NWS warned for areas including New York City and Boston. New York and New Jersey declared states of emergency; streets and homes flooded in Surf City and Manasquan. Nearly 150,000 households lost power, more than 1,100 flights were delayed and 400 cancelled, and Ed Sheeran's Boston concert was called off. Saturday's full moon is expected to worsen shore inundation.
