YouTube Music rolls out labels for fully and partly AI-generated songs

YouTube Music said Wednesday it is adding player-page labels so listeners can see when generative AI helped create a track, with more detail on AI’s role after a click. The same labels will appear in the main YouTube app. Partners can declare Fully Gen AI, Partly Gen AI, or No Gen AI; pitch-correction tools such as Auto-Tune count as No Gen AI. YouTube said it worked with music partners and its own detection tools to identify AI-generated music as such content spreads on streaming services.
