Gasly left crushed after Colapinto’s Azerbaijan restart crash took him and Norris out

After Alexander Albon’s crash brought out the safety car at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Pierre Gasly was seventh and teammate Franco Colapinto tenth until Colapinto locked up at Turn 1, hit Gasly and Lando Norris’s McLaren, and all three retired. A separate Racing Bulls clash let Arvid Lindblad take seventh, a 13-point swing that left Alpine 15 points behind fifth in the constructors’ standings instead of a possible two on lap-35 positions.
