Brighton stun Arsenal 3-0 to hand Manchester City top spot

Arsenal lost 3-0 at Brighton on Saturday, suffering their first defeat of the Premier League title defence and surrendering top spot to Manchester City on goal difference. Pascal Gross and Charalampos Kostoulas scored from outside the penalty area in the first half, and Chema Andres added a header from Gross's corner. The win capped a strong week for Brighton, who beat Coventry 5-0 and came from two goals down to win 3-2 at Manchester United in the League Cup. Manchester City can move three points clear by beating Sunderland on Sunday.
