Study ties at least 485 chemicals in US pesticide products to breast cancer

A peer-reviewed paper in Environmental Health Perspectives identifies at least 485 chemicals in US pesticide products linked to breast cancer, including active ingredients and hundreds of “inert” ones that often lack thorough safety review. The EPA weighs each ingredient alone, not whole formulas or combined exposures; the chemicals also appear in lice treatments, lawn products, and flea and tick treatments, not only on crops, as early-onset breast cancer rises worldwide.
