FDA advisory panel backs Grail's Galleri blood test for multi-cancer screening

An FDA advisory panel on Wednesday endorsed Grail's Galleri, a blood test to screen for multiple cancer types, voting 10–0 that it is reasonably safe, 6–4 that it is reasonably effective, and 7–2 with one abstention that its benefits outweigh its risks for patients who meet the proposed criteria. The FDA is not required to follow the panel but often does.
