Imran Khan’s sons say Pakistan is cracking down as jailed ex-PM’s health worsens

Imran Khan’s London-based sons Sulaiman and Kasim told DW that Pakistan’s jailed 73-year-old ex-PM is in poor health in Rawalpindi prison and was isolated from family, lawyers and doctors for 10 months. They say he lost 85% vision in his right eye after months of neglected complaints, is held in a tiny cell with only one to two hours outside daily, and other relatives were detained ahead of PTI’s September 27 protest march demanding his release from Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s government.
