On July 4, 2025, Einstein Probe observed EP250704a/GRB 250704B: a gamma-ray flash lasting under half a second followed by nearly 10 minutes of soft X-rays. The emission, possibly powered by a newly formed magnetar, could help identify counterparts to gravitational-wave signals.
