Eli Lilly and Novo are developing amylin-based treatments to complement or offer alternatives to GLP-1 drugs. In a Phase 2 trial, Lilly’s eloralintide combined with tirzepatide produced average weight loss of 23.3% after 48 weeks, versus 14.8% with high-dose tirzepatide alone.
