VLA and ALMA observations suggest the companion star Siwarha is passing through Betelgeuse’s outer atmosphere, disturbing its gas and subtly distorting the red supergiant. The findings also indicate that the star’s atmosphere has largely recovered from its record Great Dimming in 2019–2020.
