Trump greets Xi on the tarmac in first such US presidential welcome for a Chinese state visit

In a first for a US president, Donald Trump greeted Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping on the tarmac as Xi landed at a military airbase near Washington DC on Wednesday for a three-day state visit.
