NASA's Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope has powered up its 300-megapixel Wide Field Instrument and completed early checkout of its Coronagraph planet-imaging system. Roman is traveling roughly one million miles toward L2 as commissioning continues ahead of planned science operations in 2027.
