The EU will urge Canada and the UK to increase aid to Ukraine at summits on Oct. 29–30 and Nov. 20, as Kyiv faces a €70 billion funding gap next year. The EU has pledged a €90 billion loan for 2026–27 and says it provides 80% of Ukraine’s external aid.
