Elon Musk donated $158m in September to the Senate Leadership Fund and $10m to Lone Star Liberty PAC to support Republican candidate Ken Paxton in Texas. The massive contributions aim to counter strong fundraising by Democratic opponent James Talarico ahead of the November midterm elections.
