Ethiopia closed its embassy in Eritrea and gave 10 Eritrean diplomats 48 hours to leave, accusing them of threatening national security. It cited Eritrea’s “direct and indirect acts of hostility” as relations deteriorated following an unexplained explosion at military headquarters in Addis Ababa.
