England recorded more than 373,000 cancer diagnoses in 2024, averaging 1,021 a day, up from 972 in 2023. Prostate, breast, lung and bowel cancers made up half of new cases. Early-stage diagnoses rose to 56.7%, but the NHS still missed diagnosis and treatment deadlines.
